Hemp Monkeys is an “off the wall” creation by two very “off the wall” people.
Amanda Keller and Amber Keirn dreamed up this fun, cool company one day while on a bead excursion in Pawleys Island SC. Little did they know that the “Beading Bug” would bite and be the launching pad for a great new business. Both coming from stress filled careers - they decided to do something fun this time around. Hemp Monkeys was a way to unleash their creativity and offer Totally Awesome Stuff to customers looking for something different.
Amanda, owner of Sew Much Stuff (www.sewmuchstuff.com) in Cleveland, Tennessee, decided to move her business back home to Knoxville, Tennessee. Sew Much Stuff has now become Hemp Monkeys and will continue to produce custom greek jerseys with perma twill, direct-to-garmet t-shirts, decals, auto tags, signs, laser engraving, signs banners and more.
Amber, local freelance Graphic Designer and amatuer photographer, found the world of jewelry making the ultimate in creative inspiration. She has developed an interest in African Trade Beads and Old Vintage Beads. Amber will also be adding her photo gallery soon.
Hemp Monkeys was launched January 2011. We are quickly adding products to our categories and will have our full line up soon.
Hemp Monkeys is a distributor of Isle of Candles, Soy Candles hand-poured in Pawleys Island, SC. If you have not tried these - you are in for a treat. We think they are the most divine candles on earth.
We handcraft all of our beaded and hemp necklaces. Many are one of a kind. If you like vintage and earthy jewelry, we are your source for that.
Also we specialize in Greek club jewelry -if you are in a Greek Club or sorority we can customize hemp jewelry with club colors and letters. We also do club decals and car-tags.
Meet The Staff:
Amanda and Amber have to have help making Hemp Monkeys a success. So Slim, Gracie and Little Gracie agreed to pitch in and do their part. Slim makes sure everyone is greeted properly and sends each package sealed with a doggie smooch. Big Gracie makes sure no Butterflies or Squirrels enter the production areas and studio and Lil Gracie makes sure both the big dogs do their jobs.
